Complaint absorption for hard campaigns
PhantomFox runs the complaint absorption system for agencies whose next campaign could bring spam reports. The unsubscribes and the spam reports the campaign produces land on our sending infrastructure, not on the domain your agency or your client works from.

Every agency knows the campaign it does not want to send from its own domain. The list is legitimate, the offer is fine, and the audience is still going to produce complaints because nobody asked them first.
Why do complaints matter more than the campaign?
Because a campaign ends and a complaint record does not. The reports a single hard send produces sit against the sending domain and affect every ordinary message that follows it, for months.
Agencies feel this as a slow decline they cannot trace, because the campaign that caused it finished weeks earlier and nobody connects the two. Nothing broke; the domain simply carries a history now, and history is the one thing a sending domain cannot be talked out of.
How does complaint absorption work?
The campaign leaves our sending infrastructure rather than yours, so the unsubscribes and the spam reports it collects land here. Your client domain and your agency domain are not part of the send and do not appear in the record.
That is the whole mechanic, and it is why a hard campaign is worth running here rather than carefully at home. A campaign that goes badly costs you that send, never the address your business runs on.
What does that let an agency actually do?
Say yes to work it would otherwise decline, and prove a difficult offer at a hundred thousand recipients instead of guessing at five thousand. The reaction is information, and here it is information you can afford.
There are things we will not send: no harvested lists, no lists we supply, and nothing built to deceive a recipient. Within that, volume runs to a million messages by plan, priced per message on pricing, with a quote available on contact.
| Signal a hard campaign produces | Sending from your domain | Sending from here |
|---|---|---|
| Unsubscribes | recorded against you | our sending infrastructure |
| Spam reports | recorded against you | our sending infrastructure |
| Bounces from stale addresses | your domain absorbs them | our sending infrastructure |
| Effect on ordinary client mail | filtered for months | none |
| What a bad campaign costs | the domain you work from | that send |
Agencies that already lost a domain read off domain sending after a burned domain, and those wanting to see the result before scaling read deliverability testing for inbox placement. Send the campaign you have been avoiding, and let the reaction land somewhere that was built to take it rather than on the address your invoices go out from.
